‘Connecting’
the monthly publication of British Council published a feature showcasing TASMAC in May 2003, titled
“Linking Partners II”.
The article reads as follows:

“This is the second in our across-India features on new educational partnerships emerging between India and Britain. Here Anasuya Kesavan; Head Communications, British Council (West India), describes how Indian students are graduating from the University of Wales without leaving Pune or Bangalore.

International education has crossed borders to India. It is not longer essential that a student seeking international and world recognised qualifications should travel several thousand miles to the UK to take a professional qualification in subject areas such as business management, hospitality management, biotechnology, manufacturing technology and many others. Validated by UK universities these courses are running successfully in India in partnership with Indian educational institutes.

Some institutes such as the Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Communications Ltd. (TASMAC) in Pune and Bangalore have also received an accreditation from the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC), UK. The Secretary of Education, UK has described BAC as "the only public guarantee of standards in independent institutions of further and higher education in UK." BAC's accreditation of overseas institutions is only available to higher education establishments working in collaborative partnerships with British Universities or other recognised British awarding bodies in the field of higher education.

TASMAC, an 1S0 9001:2000 certified institution, runs an MBA programme validated by the University of Wales, UK. With campuses in Pune and Bangalore, TASMAC's student profile includes corporate executives and fresh graduates. MBA students, on graduation, receive a degree awarded by University in the UK. All programmes at TASMAC have been developed in conjunction with the University of Wales.

TASMAC offers an MBA programme and a BA (Hons) in Business Administration programme with specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Information Management and a Master of Science programme in Information System.

Dr. Giri Dua, TASMAC's Chairman says, "TASMAC has been involved in management education for over twelve years. It prides itself on being close to its students and continually strives to understand and respond to their needs. The programmes are practical and relevant and built on close involvement with industry and commerce." His views are reiterated by Amlan Bhattacharya, an MBA finance graduate, who says, “Returning to academics after several years was not an easy decision for me. The MBA programme of University of Wales conducted at TASMAC has justified faith I had reposed in it. The environment, the camaraderie, the spirit of healthy competition and the willingness to battle it out are features I associate proudly with my institute." His alumnus, Siddharth Dalal, adds, "the programme is so designed that it has provided all my colleagues and me best of learning and a launching pad for our careers."

At TASMAC, students are encouraged to regularly give feedback of their learning experiences. TASMAC encourages students to mix pleasure with learning and has equipped student homes with facilities such as a gymnasium and swimming pool. Students begin their corporate experience with a series called 'CEO of the month', where heads of industry houses are invited to give talks and speak to students. Other facilities include computer labs, a large library and an institutional membership to the British Library. With guidance on career related skills such as interviewing skills and professional networking, these management students move on to challenging positions in the corporate world, armed with an international qualification earned accredited institutions, closer home.”
