What is the relationship between the University of Wales and TASMAC?
- TASMAC programmes are quality assured by the University of Wales (UK) to meet British University standards. The University has approved and validated all the TASMAC systems and procedures and is actively involved in ensuring quality of the programme.
In recognition of the high standards of the Global Programme in Business Leadership offered at TASMAC, the University of Wales accepts credits of this programme. After successful completion of this programme, the Students can complete a dissertation component of the University of Wales and to gain an MBA directly from the University of Wales, UK. Students may also be eligible to transfer to other MBA programmes at the discretion of the admitting institution.
How do University of Wales and TASMAC ensure that the quality of programmes is maintained?
- The quality of the degree programmes is maintained by means of regular contact between the staff of both institutions and by the use of external examiners, annual reports and periodic reviews. Various staff development programmes are conducted by University of Wales on an ongoing basis. Staff from University of Wales is also invited to attend various meetings such as the Board of Examiners meetings, Programme Committee meetings, Board of Studies meetings, etc. Such measures ensure that the students experience & the quality of the programmes is comparable to that pertaining to similar qualifications offered within the University of Wales itself.
What is the scope of the ISO 9001: 2008 certification received by TASMAC?
- The ISO 9001: 2008 certification received by TASMAC includes Design and Development of syllabi for Teaching/ Learning and Evaluation / Certification of students undergoing various management programmes. The award demonstrates our strong commitment to excellence in design, provision and delivery of our management programmes. The ISO Certification is constantly reviewed by the DNV (Det Norske Veritas, The Netherlands); we are therefore continually committed to seek ways to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization.
What is British Accreditation Council for Independent and Higher Education (BAC)?
- The British Accreditation Council (BAC) is an independent body established in 1984 to act as UK's national accrediting agency for independent further and higher education. More than 100 colleges in the UK are accredited by the BAC. In 2000, BAC's remit was extended to provide the accreditation service to overseas institutions offering British higher education qualifications. The objective of the BAC is to improve and enhance the standards of independent further and higher educational institutions by the establishment of a system of accreditation. Described by the Secretary of Sate for education, UK, as 'the only public guarantee of standards in independent institutions of further and higher education in the UK'. BAC's accreditation of overseas institutions is only available to higher education establishments working in collaborative partnerships with British Universities or other recognised British awarding bodies in the field of higher education. Accreditation is awarded after a satisfactory report from BAC's specialist inspector has been considered and approved by the BAC's accreditation and recognition committee.
Is TASMAC accredited and recognised by British Accreditation Council (BAC)?
- Yes. TASMAC is the first institution outside Europe to be accredited and recognised by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC), UK.
Here is the summary report of BAC "Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Communications Ltd. (TASMAC) was inspected by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education in October 2002.
BAC's inspectors reported on a very good or excellent standard of provision in all of the areas assessed. They considered TASMAC to be a College with a clear vision, a commitment to quality, excellent administrative systems and procedures, and capable, enthusiastic staff. Teaching was well-structured and well-informed, offering a good balance between theory and examples drawn from the real world. Students responded very well to classes which were academically challenging and at a level appropriate to British higher education.
Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Commutations Ltd. (TASMAC) was accredited and recognised by the British Accreditation Council as an institution providing higher education in November 2002".
