Entry Requirements  
   
Documents required for application to UNA for the undergraduate and graduate programmes:
 
All documents have to be either notarized by Govt. authorized court notary, or attested by Fullbright services (USEFI) offices listed below. No other forms of attestation will be accepted by UNA.
 
USEFI or Fulbright, India, is a US Educational Information Center affiliated with the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). USEFI's professional educational advising centers are located at the following cities from where the documents can be attested. As mentioned above, ALL documents should be either Original, government Notarized or USEFI attested. Any other attestation will not be accepted on documents
 
  Undergraduate Programme Applications;
   
Completed Application form along with the application fee of USD 25 which should be ideally paid through pay order checks or D/Ds payable at any US bank, in favor of’ University of North Alabama’
   
Notarized TOEFL score sheet of 173 OR IELTS score sheet of 5.5 Band. The student should report his original TOEFL/IELTS score through ETS and British council respectively before he completes his first semester at UNA. In case the student has scored 55% or above in English in year 10 and 12, the TOEFL/IELTS score requirement can be waived off. However it is advisable to take one of these tests, as this will lend support to the visa application.
 
Notarized copies of the 10th std and 10+2 mark sheets.
   
If the SAT score is available, the student must request for the score to be reported to UNA by the testing center. In the absence of the SAT score, the student will have to take the Residual Act test (UNA’s internal test for all international students in the absence of SAT scores) upon arrival at the University and before registering for classes.
   
A bank letter in the name of the sponsor showing minimum available funds of USD 15,000.00. This should be either original or a duly notarized photocopy.
   
An original letter from the sponsor stating that he or she is willing to sponsor the student for his/her further education in the US.
   
Passport photocopy.
   
  Graduate Programme Applications;
   
Completed Application form along with the application fee of USD 25 which should be ideally paid through pay order checks or D/Ds payable at any US bank, in favor of’ University of North Alabama’.
   
Notarized TOEFL score sheet of 213 OR IELTS score sheet of 6 Band. The student should report his original TOEFL/IELTS score through ETS and British council respectively before he completes his first semester at UNA. In case the student has scored 60% or above in English in year 10 and 12, the TOEFL/IELTS score requirement can be waived off. However it is advisable to take one of these tests, as this will lend support to the visa application.

Bachelor’s Degree certificate. In case a Provisional Degree or a Passing Certificate is submitted in place Degree certificate, it will be accepted only if there are no conditions mentioned on it. If any conditions are mentioned, a letter from the College should be attached stating that the student has cleared all the requirements for the degree.

Original Consolidated Degree Transcripts issued by the college or university, duly stamped and sealed. In the absence of the original transcripts, notarized copies will be accepted, but originals are preferred.

GMAT or GRE score for students who don’t have a first class in their Bachelor’s degree. The student must request for this score to be reported to UNA by the testing center UNA institution code is 1735. GMAT/GRE requirement is waived off by the University for students with first class degrees. However, even for students with a first class in their Bachelor’s degrees, it is advisable to take either of these tests to strengthen their US visa application. In case the student is applying to any of the Programmes offered by the college of education and college of arts & sciences at UNA, he or she should compulsorily submit the official GRE score.
