The
Beginnings
TASMAC was established as a Business School in February 1990. The B School moved its operation to Pune in September 1991. What started of in 1990 from a single room management institute in a basement is today a large professionally managed limited company. The TASMAC Group today has five divisions, seven offices, campuses in three of the most important education cities of the country and over 150 branches in nearly 50 cities in India and South Asia. TASMAC plans to set-up 5 more offices in important cities in India within next one year. |

| 1990 |
| TASMAC was set up in February 1990 in Mumbai. It began as a management institute in Mumbai and Pune for a non-traditional American University. |

| 1991 |
| TASMAC moved its operations to Pune in September 1991 and set up the administrative head office and its Professional Skills Development Centre in Pune. For two consecutive years, TASMAC was awarded the "Best B School" by he non traditional University. |

| 1993 |
| TASMAC tied up with the Indian Merchants' Chamber to offer it's management programmes. i.e., the Diploma in Business Management programme and the Diploma in Export Import Management programme in Pune. |

| 1994 |
| TASMAC was appointed the South Asia office for CSM Institute of Graduate Studies, USA / Canada |

| 1994 - 1998 |
| TASMAC set up over 30 study and examination centres for the CSM IGS management programmes. Additional specializations were added in the MBA and the BBA programmes.

| TASMAC was appointed the
International Administrative Office of CSM Institute of Graduate
Studies, USA / Canada. |

| 1999 |
| TASMAC set up a corporate training / executive training division and initially tied up with the Zig Ziglar Corporation, one of the largest training organisations in the United States of America and with the European Bank Training Network (EBTN). This division functions as a separate company - TASMAC Management Training Resources Pvt. Ltd. |

| 2000 |

TASMAC set up the Pune campus of the School of Finance and Management in a joint venture agreement with Emile Woolfe International, London to offer their MBA and BA (Hons) programmes. Oxford Brookes University, the number one new University in UK as per the Times Good University Guide, validated TASMAC to offer these programmes in India.

| TASMAC also set up a Study Abroad Division that operated as the South Asia Admissions Office of School of Finance and Management. |

The division has since expanded and works in the entire South Asia region for the following Universities/colleges: (a) Canterbury Christ Church University, UK (b) Cesar Ritz - Hotelconsult Colleges in Switzerland, Australia and USA, (c) University of North Alabama, USA (d) INCAE, Costa Rica (e) Domus Academy, Italy, and (f) NABA, Italy. |

| 2001 |

University of Wales, UK validated the MBA and BA (Hons) programmes offered at TASMAC Pune. The MBA programme was validated to be delivered through the part-time mode of study for executives and also through the full-time mode of study. |

TASMAC set up its own Information Centres in Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. It also set up a massive network of 150 Counselling Centres in 50 cities across the country including centres in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. |

TASMAC received the ISO 9001:2000 certification, the very first management institute / Business School in the country to receive this prestigious certification. |

TASMAC introduced the Diploma in International Airlines and Tourism Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management of the Indian Merchants' Chamber, Mumbai. |

TASMAC Student Homes was set up very close to the TASMAC Campus in Pune. The facilities at the Student Homes include a gymnasium, club house, swimming pool, etc. |

TASMAC's second, well equipped campus for management and IT programmes set up at a prime location at Bangalore in June. This is a four storied building with up-to -date facilities.

TASMAC launched TASMAC Consulting, a business solution provider set up to partner industry & business in pursuing solutions to business related issues & problems. |

TASMAC introduced the MBA (Part Time) Programme / Executive MBA programme for working professionals from October 2003. This is a top ranked result - oriented business programme delivered in a format that accommodates the demands of working life.

launched the Centre for Distance Education and launched
a Masters Diploma programme in Business Administration
(MDBA) programme with 8 specialisations. TASMAC set
up 10 study centres to deliver these programmes. |

TASMAC was appointed the South Asia Branch of the Association of Business Executives, UK. |

TASMAC Student Homes, Bangalore was established |

In October 2004, Business India in its annual survey of 'India's Best B-Schools' placed TASMAC in the A+ category, ranking it among the 50 top business schools in the country. This ranking of Business India justified our claim of being one of the best B-Schools in the country. |

'Connecting' the monthly publication of British Council came up with a feature showcasing TASMAC. It was titled, "Linking Partners". |

TASMAC appointed as a Representative of the Validation
Unit of the University of Wales, UK to promote the University's
interests in countries in South Asia and the Middle
East in respect of establishing new validation agreements. |

Bangalore campus moved to the new state-of-the-art
campus in June 2006. This campus has all the facilities
and infrastructure in the true TASMAC tradition
and it offers an equally attractive option to the
students to gain a highly regarded British degree

Rod Pryde, Director, British Council, India on
September 14, 2006. |

University of Wales, UK validated the MA Advertising Management, MA Public Relations and MA Journalism programmes offered at TASMAC Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata campuses.
University of Greenwich, UK validated the MSc Computing, MSc Computer Systems and Networking and MSc Enterprise Software Engineering programmes offered at TASMAC Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata campuses.
